Queuing Etiquette

Republic Poly is known for it food variety. However, good food is closely followed by long queues. Many students face this on a daily basis because a thousand students are released for break at the same time. As hunger blind students eyes, they overstep the queuing etiquettes. This may be something that is not really relevant but it happens everyday and it does irritates a lot of people. Some etiquettes are what I would be talking about. The first etiquette would be never cut queues. It really annoys the people at the back who have been standing for a few minutes already. Suddenly when you cut queue in the front the others find it unfair. Never give excuses like I am rushing for class because almost half the people in the queue is also rushing for class. Imagine someone else cuts queue, you may also be annoyed. Imagine if almost everyone in the line cuts queue, the last person may never get to buy his or her food. 4 Republic Polytechnic Queue Hacks ! That you can do too !

1. For the First break leave immediately to avoid queues !  For the first break the trick is to leave immediately for breakfast as if you are lucky your facilitator would release you early for the first break and you will be able to beat the queues to have a hearty breakfast ! Be sure to have your breakfast early as it is also key to a healthy diet ! 2. For the Second Breaks wait 30 minutes later before you go for your break ! For the second break the trick is to wait for at least 30 minutes as all students would be rushing down to get their food, lecturers included ! the peak hours for this is at 12pm just exactly when you are released for your breaks so be smart and wait for at least 30 minutes before you get down. Have a heavy breakfast first before going for your second break as queues can vary depending on the days so it would be best to wait for at least a minimum of 30 minutes. Best Food in Republic Polytechnic

Republic Polytechnic is a place with so many food varieties to choose from. There are many choices that Republic Polytechnic offers. From local delicacies to western choices to sweet course. Sometimes its a headache for RP students and lecturers to choose a food they want to eat. There are many places like North and South Canteen, Lawn Canteen, TRCC Cafe, and even Subway. All these food places are located at different parts of RP and people have different choice to eat from for each day in a week. Therefore, RP students and lecturers are never bored of the food provided in RP. It is common for students to have their favourite food but it is not everyone's favourite. There are still some best foods that people rave about of the food in RP. Now I will be talking about the top few food that people think are the best foods in RP. Solutions To The Issue of Long Queue

With a problem comes a solution right? So here is a solution to the issue. A solution is that food vendors can expand the queue by having more than 1 queue (e.g. 3 if the stall is very popular). If the vendors were to expand the queues, the queue will not stretch so long such that it will obstruct others pathway. Another solution to the problem is that the food stalls can hire more vendors to help them with the long queues. With more manpower, more staffs can help in preparing the meals and even taking the orders. Thus, this could increase the efficiency in getting the orders ready. The third solution is that they can have different break times for the students. An example of this is that Republic Polytechnic can have break times for Year 1s at 9.30am, Year 2s at 10.30 am and the Year 3s at 11.30 am.
